The Occidental Hotel was opened on 2nd July 1870 by American sailor Edward Perkins, and became renowned as one of Auckland’s finest hotels. In 1999 the historic building was transformed into the first authentic Belgian Beer Café in the Southern Hemisphere.
We proudly serve authentic Belgian cuisine complimented by an extensive selection of fine Belgian beers & some of the best wines from NZ & Australia.
